Check out our first offerings for quilting classes at the new Tulsa studio! They are both suitable for beginners and are fun for even the most experienced quilter. Join in the fun and camaraderie of quilting in a group session.

We also have bag sewing classes in the works, and will post more on those soon!

Beginning Quilting

Taught by: Susan Michael

Dates: March 9th, 16th, and 23rd      OR     April 13th, 20th, & 27th

Time: 1:30-4:00pm for each session

In this 3 part class, you will make the “Trippindippity” quilt from start to finish! Susan designed this pattern especially for beginning quilters. Learn rotary cutting, strip piecing, machine quilting, and machine binding. Students should have a working knowledge of their sewing machine and have a “1/4″ foot and a “walking foot” for stitch work. We’ll be using a simplicity assembly method to make blocks quickly. Registration for the class is $60 and the quilt kit is $89.99. Choice of colorways – Fuchsia, Turquoise, or Citrus. Stop by the shop or call to register. “Perfect 10″ Quilt

Taught by: Christa Knecht

Dates: Mar. 16th & Mar. 23rd     OR    April 6th & April 13th

Time: 9:00am-1:00pm for each session

In this 2 part class, you will make a gorgeous quilt top using a pattern by Swirly Girls Design and fabrics from Ellen Medlock Studio. This class is suitable for beginners. Students should have a working knowledge of their sewing machine. Take the class and Christa promises you will finish the quilt! Registration for the class is $40 and the quilt kit is $120. Choice of colorways – Fuchsia or Turquoise. Stop by the shop or call to register.  The complete supply list is available here or you can pick one up at the studio. Christa will bind your quilt for 14 cents per inch.

We had a free make-and-take, drawings for discounts, and some yummy refreshments. Several guests had asked for the recipe for the “real” Hot Chocolate we were serving ~ so here you go!

Creamy Crockpot Hot Cocoa

• 1.5 cups whipping cream
• 1 14oz can sweetened condensed milk
• 6 cups milk
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 2 cups of milk chocolate chips

Instructions:

Stir together all ingredients in a crockpot.

Cover and cook on low for 2 hours, stirring occasionally, until mixture is hot and chocolate chips are melted. Stir again before serving. Garnish as desired!

* Due to limited space you must reserve your spot in advance via pre-payment. You may come in the store to pre-pay or call (918) 995-2905 during regular store hours and we can take your credit card payment over the phone.
