Just dropping in to let everyone know that we now have our Limited Edition Heart Minaudiere Clutches up on the website!

They make the sweetest Valentine presents for a special someone ~ or yourself of course! (I know I can’t be the only one who gets a few little treats for myself on Valentine’s Day, right?!)

We had so much fun making these here in the studio. Please note that some Minaudieres have been specially coated to give the fabric a shiny and more durable finish and some are the plain fabric with a softer finish. It’s up to you!

• Our newest fabric collection, Natural Graffiti, is up on the site and available for pre-order. Buy now and be first in line to receive your yummy fabric when it arrives in March 2012!

 I’m so excited to announce the arrival (finally!) of my newest Interchangeable bag pattern – the Interchangeable4!
It was delivered to the Studio today, and we immediately began shipping your preorders.

This shoulder bag is right on trend with it’s larger size and rounded shape. And of course – it’s Interchangeable! Just switch out the bag body and reuse the handle. The Interchangeable line has proven to be very popular, and it was time to introduce something a little larger and roomier. One of the interior pockets even has room to hold an Ipad, Kindle, or a Nook.

Please note that this bag was designed specifically for the 12″wide Interchangeable4 metal purse frame, which is sold separately from the pattern. Why not attach a cute 21″ clip-on bag chain to complete your look?

Kristin with Martin Favre, President of Bernina America in Orlando

Hi there! Wanted to draw your attention to a lovely young lady who recently won in the Young Stitchers category of the Bernina Fashion Show! Meet Miss Kristin Houghtaling shown in her winning entry…a gorgeous blue dupioni silk  dress and matching Interchangeable1 Bag!! Way to go, Kristin! Love the bag’s embroidery, and do I note a touch of bling there??! Love that too!

She tells me that she first made the dress, then thought..hmmm….needs a bag! Fortunately Kristin is well versed in bagmaking, and loves the easy Interchangeable! She confides that even though she has so many bags (CAN WE RELATE TO THIS!! ha!) she “loves making all the cute new patterns!”

Be aware that this darling seamstress is the daughter of Ann Arbor Sewing and Quilting Center’s owners, Doni & Kris!
Kristen says she fell in love with sewing through kids classes and sewing camps  at the store…beginning with small sewing projects such as American Girl Doll pillow cases.

Hello there! I would like to introduce you to my very able assistant Brittany! As you can see I quickly brainwashed her into loving all sewing patterns, etc from my studio! LOL! (just kidding!) This photo was taken on a particularly busy day, hence all the boxes!
