I don’t think we could fit even one more ornament on this little guy!

I’m not sayin’ we didn’t try though…

And of course we had to style the bench it is sitting on with one of our ready made minaudieres in the Vintage Santa print of course!

I wrapped the gifts with my Enchanted Damask fabric to round out the vignette and called it done.

Pantone’s Color of the Year: Tangerine Tango

December 8, 2011

It’s that time of year again… The world’s leading color authority has chosen it’s 2012 Color of the Year!

Tangerine Tango - Pantone's 2012 Color of the Year

Tangerine Tango - Pantone's 2012 Color of the Year

The Pantone Color Institute®, chooses a color each year that seems to fit the mood and attitude for the coming seasons. Tangerine Tango was chosen to “provide the energy boost we need to recharge and move forward.”

As a designer, I’m always so intrigued with the process they use in choosing their Color of the Year.

It might explain why I’ve always been so in love with our Flight Pattern fabric in Citrus colorway! The shot of orange makes it such a happy fabric…

Apparently Pantone would agree!

Zen Ellen

July 2, 2010

Ok, my cutie pattottie 4 year old niece, Anna “decorated” me last weekend when she and her entourage (aka parents!) were visiting. I only wish I had asked what she was turning me into??!  Shown in the image background is my personal stash of “Enchanted Damask” & “Spring Dot” fabric…I guess Anna likes the Citrus colorway best..since that is what became my sash! LOL! And yes, the jumbo rick rack was of course the ‘piece de resistance”!

My Cousin’s Backyard

July 19, 2009

I have A LOT of creative relatives around here in Tulsa! Recently my cousin Rosemary’s charming backyard garden was a gathering spot, and reflects just a few of her many talents and interests! Rosie’s latest project (and still ongoing!) is the new addition of the  darling playhouse for her grand-daughter Elise.. complete with vintage toys, dutch doors, leaded glass windows, and a reading loft! The effect of all three color coordinating cottages was enchanting! ( I told her I was moving in!! -she thinks I am kidding! Ha!) Thanks cuz for letting me share!

Vintage Bag Collectors?

March 27, 2009

Just wondering if anyone else is into the whole vintage bag thing as well as making their own?!

Here are two new additions to my vintage bag collection I found this week while perusing at River City Trading Post in Jenks, OK. This bring my collection to a whopping total of 5! (mainly because I am too cheap to spend much!) After a bit of research I found out the box purse on top is by Dorset Rex, Fifth Avenue… a 1950′s find. It was instant love with this one! I was amazed that the clear plastic was in pretty good shape. The tote on the bottom has no markings but was so glittery, unique, and endearing, but I still carried around for awhile before making the big decision! Ha! No buyers remorse at all- ready to go back soon!

Jonathan Adler

February 1, 2009

Wanted to share this just because I LOVE it, and look at it now everyday in my studio~ my new Jonathan Adler “Bug“! Check out the license plate too in the close-up! I had to have this piece since I drive a periwinkle “Blue Vortex” VW New Beetle since 2001, complete with it’s orange daisy on the dash! I would not give it up for the world! Here is a link to Jonathan’s site www.jonathanadler.com for exploration purposes! I wonder if there are any other JA fans out there?? Just saw his collection of stationary items at Barnes & Nobles today…

PS- you might recognize the cute Michael Miller fabric in the background too!
