Just dropping in to let everyone know that we now have our Limited Edition Heart Minaudiere Clutches up on the website!

They make the sweetest Valentine presents for a special someone ~ or yourself of course! (I know I can’t be the only one who gets a few little treats for myself on Valentine’s Day, right?!)

We had so much fun making these here in the studio. Please note that some Minaudieres have been specially coated to give the fabric a shiny and more durable finish and some are the plain fabric with a softer finish. It’s up to you!

Hi there!  I wasn’t sure if I had ever shared info on the Fashion Bags made by my company, Ellen Medlock Studio!
If you are into quilt fabric, you may recognize some of these delicious fabrics! Each bag is made in the USA, with the greatest attention to quality and detail. Some of the handles were made specially for me…for instance, the handles on the “Sunny Day” Bag are leather..and what a time I had finding a taxi yellow hide! Seriously! Ha!

It’s Spring!!!! My favorite time of the year… and after the wild winter we have had here in Oklahoma (and across the US) ..Spring is VERY welcome! I don’t know about you, but I tend to wear spring colors all year round. This is a good thing since my tiny but mighty line of fashion bags are ALL very spring-like! Yes, I know.. I am very lucky to have a closet full of bright funky bags to choose from daily! But hey, so can you! LOL!

This week was the start of a 2 month long Trunk Show of my ready-made fashion bags at the Mary Ruby Apparel Shop in Tulsa! It is a very good feeling to have them all out in the retail world together! If you are in town, please stop by and take a look in person! If not, please take a peek at them in my online boutique . Here is the bag that was featured in today’s Tulsa World, In Style column by Jason Ashley Wright.. The Cha Cha Garden ($79)!  The interior fabric is a coordinating turquoise with small brown dots. There were very few of these made for me.. along with it’s five sister bags… all very limited editions. So if you are tempted, please don’t hesitate, as they cannot be made again! The fabric is gone on almost all!

Spring and Easter are  just around the corner, and today many are enjoying their families traditional Spring Break together!
Here is a non-traditional “Spring Break!”.  One of my ready-made ($49.00) instant gratification uncommonly cute  fun fashion bags!
Made in the USA in a small Limited Edition for my Studio … there are  just a handful left for adoption into your personal collection!  The bags interior features a zip pocket, a slip pocket, and a cell phone pocket. A magnetic snap is used for the closure. Definitely a happy-go-lucky bag that will put a real dose of “Spring” in your step!

The “Spring Break!” Bag was designed  from my Cheri Bag Pattern (Petite Size) ($12.99)  for those of you who would like to sew your own. Of course there is a bit of difference between the ready-made and the hand-made.. mainly the heaviness of the bag’s body which is very firm by way of manufacturing… although the handmade is no whimp!

The Cheri Bag is available for home sewing as a hard copy pattern or a new easy to download pattern from my online store. You may be familiar with the happy Disco Dot fabric designed by Mark Hordyszynski for Michael Miller Fabrics in may fab colorways..I never tire of it! The interior of the bag is a darling daisy print in pink and green also a past Michael Miller Fabric offering. Add the finishing touch with a tiny daisy on the exterior, that is clipped from a length of trim!
